Named after the highest peak of the Guadarrama mountains, this trip offers the active nature lovers the opportunity to get to know the stunning nature reserve located a short distance north of the Spanish capital. We invite trail runners, triathlon athletes, mountain bikers, cyclists, water polo players and other athletes wholeheartedly to come visit us and prepare themselves in an excellent environment for participation in various sporting events. The region is characterized by an abundance of pine forests and holm oaks in its lower slopes, while the Montana grasslands and pastures around the summits are fringed by juniper and Spanish broom shrubs. The mountains abound with a variety of wildlife such as Spanish ibex, roe deer, fallow deer, wild boar, badger, various types of weasel and European wild cat. The area is also rich in birdlife including birds of prey such as the Spanish Imperial Eagle and the Eurasian Black Vulture.
